I came to Family Acupuncture prior to starting IVF treatment. Jose worked with me twice a week through two cycles of IVF. He is very knowledgeable and skilled with patients who are experiencing fertility issues. The process really reduced my stress and helped balance my system. Thankfully, the second round of IVF worked, and I'm sure it's due in part to this acupuncture treatment!

I first started seeing Jose about five months ago right after I was diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve. The doctor I was seeing at the time told me IVF was my best option and to try it right away. He also said I had only a 1-2% chance of ever conceiving on my own. I was devastated to say the least. I did not want to go down the IVF road. I did my research and found Family Acupuncture & Herbs of Reading and upon my first meeting with Jose I knew I was in the right hands. He was so knowledgeable, very kind and made me feel at ease instantly. I began to see him for acupuncture treatments twice a week while taking daily herbs. He also took the time to give me suggestions on diet changes which I thought was very helpful and always spent as much time answering my questions as I needed. Every time I saw Jose I felt so calm and my stress levels were greatly reduced. He even helped me out with some horrible neck pain one day. I walked out that day feeling like a new person! About four months into my acupuncture treatment I decided to go to a different Fertility clinic for a second opinion. They reran my tests and the two things that had led to the DOR diagnosis back in March had completely normalized, I was thrilled! They did discover a thyroid issue though and I started to take medication immediately. That doctor said to try for a few more months naturally without any fertility treatments at this time and see what happens. A few weeks later I found out I was pregnant! I consider Jose to be a big part of this happening and I would highly recommend his practice to anyone. I genuinely looked forward to every one of my sessions and I will continue to visit his practice in the future.
