I highly recommend Jose and Family Acupuncture & Herbs. I started seeing Jose around Feb 2011 and I was currently a patient at FCNE for irregular cycles. At that time I was undergoing cycles w/ FCNE, so Jose just assisted those cycles w/ acupuncture. Well, after 3 IUI's and 2 IVF's that all failed, I had enough. I was on a break from fertility treatments and decided to give the herbs a try. Jose was very professional, answered all my questions and never rushed me. I did the herbs for about 5 weeks, met with Jose once a week. Well, after 5 weeks of taking the herbs I found out that we got pregnant on our own- naturally!! I was so shocked... speechless!! We just had our 1st appt. with our OB and we're due April 1st. Thank you so much Jose... words cannot express how thankful we are after this long, emotional journey! To all those reading this that may be in the same situation, keep the faith and it will happen for you!! After our 2nd failed IVF, I was so devastated and was willing to try the herbs and am so glad we did.... what an experience!!

I have been attending Family Acupuncture and Herbs of Reading for about 3 months now. After 3 years of infertility issues and 2 IVF cycles, one that resulted in an early miscarriage, I was at a loss. I sought out acupuncture to help with secondary infertility issues as well as overall, stress and back/neck pain. I had never been to an acupuncturist before. During my initial visit, Jose spent an hour talking with me and collecting detailed information regarding medical history, daily living/nutrition/sleep patterns and so forth, and addressed my questions and concerns regarding how acupuncture can assist with infertility. Jose has a good understanding of the stress and toll infertility takes on an individual. He is very personable, compassionate, and professional. In terms of the acupuncture, I was not sure what to expect. I have found that it is very relaxing (I have fallen a sleep a few times), not painful at all, and it seems to have helped with some of my back and neck pain and sleep. The environment is very clean, calming, and literature is available to address various needs. I would highly recommend Family Acupuncture and Herbs of Reading, LLC !

I began going to Family Acupuncture and Herbs of Reading to help with my infertility. My husband and I had been through numerous IVF cycles with no success and wanted to try something more natural. I did multiple months of acupuncture with Jose to prepare my body and began taking Herbs to really give it all we had. After only taking the Herbs for one month, we got pregnant on our own!!! I continuted the acupuncture through the first trimester to support the pregnancy. Today we have a healthy 2wk old baby girl! I started seeing Jose in July 2011 when I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. My regular doctor said that there was nothing they could do for Bell's Palsy and I would just have to wait it out, it could be 6-12 months until I am back to normal. A friend from work who had been seeing Jose had referred me to him, I figured what do I have to loose. After the first appointment, I felt very optimistic, Jose takes the time to explain what he is going to do and why that would work, he really truly cares about his patients. Went to Family Acupuncture for persistent upper back & hip pain. Treatments were once a week for 2 months. Jose explains everything very well & puts you at ease. Great bedside manner. He also used other Chinese healing methods on my problems area. I have been pain free since treatments & in addition treatments helped with my state of mind, very calming. I started seeing Jose just after finishing treatment for cancer, second that year, & was in need of calming/emotional balance affects of the acupuncture. Treatments provided this as well. I have been seeing Jose at Family Acupuncture and Herbs of Reading for treatment of back problems since 2007. I was initially skeptical of alternative therapies, but was convinced to try acupuncture by my wife after Jose successfully treated her for repetitive stress injuries. Since starting treatment I have not lost any work days due to back spasms. My back's ability to withstand the stresses of heavy household chores has improved significantly. Jose's treatment has allowed me to better control my condition and to function at a higher level than would otherwise be possible. This is something that had not been realized though conventional medical therapies and is, to paraphrase the credit card commercial, priceless.

Myself and husband have been clients of Family Acupuncture and Herbs of Reading for approximately 4 years. My husband has cervical radiculopathy that cannot be addressed surgically due to a serious heart condition. Doctors gave pain meds and physical therapy but that would either make him unable to work or increase symptoms. Jose has been able to keep debilitating pain at bay with regular sessions every 3 weeks. It was a process to get at this state but it works. My husband was the biggest skeptic but now refers everyone. I continue every three weeks due to an autoimmune system problem along with chronic back pain. Walking, crawling in and leaving with a light stride is wonderful relief. I cant say all medical providers agree with Alternative therapies. To this I ask do they have back, knee pain, fatigue or headaches? If they say yes, (which I know they will) try this out then give an opinion. We will continue to be patrons of Family Acupuncture, refer those we encounter with pain problems and encourage traditional medical providers to have an open mind.
