José Ruiz earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM).
Since graduating José has pursued advanced post-graduate studies in:- Herbal medicine, with master herbalist Dr. Tao Xie (MD, China)
- Infertility with expert Randine Lewis (author of “The Infertility Cure”)
- Acupuncture with Dr. Richard Tan, world-renowned speaker on the “balance” method; and
- Nutrition through Yo San University.
José’s unique opportunity to study herbal medicine with Dr. Tao Xie for over 4 years has given him invaluable insight into treating a variety of complex conditions. Through this course of study, he has learned profound ways of utilizing herbs, which when coupled with acupuncture, yield excellent results for a number of conditions.
His work with Randine Lewis and
a local area fertility clinic has given him a tremendous amount of experience
in treating women’s health and fertility related issues.
A professional member of the American Society for Reproductive
Medicine, he is very experienced and comfortable treating patients
undergoing IUI and IVF procedures and believes that acupuncture and
Chinese herbal medicine can significantly increase the success rates of
these procedures.
